چکیده

In this paper we suggest some algorithms for the fluid-structure interaction problem stated using a domain decomposition framework. These methods involve stabilized pressure segregation methods for the solution of the fluid problem and fixed point iterative algorithms for the fluid-structure coupling. With one single loop the solution of the coupled system tends to the one of the strongly coupled monolithic system. These coupling algorithms are applied to the aeroelastic simulation of suspension bridges. We assess flexural and torsional frequencies for a given inflow velocity. Increasing this velocity we reach the value for which the flutter phenomenon appears. Copyright c © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Some Recent Advances in Nonlinear Aeroelasticity: Fluid-structure Interaction in the 21 Century

SOME RECENT ADVANCES IN NONLINEAR AEROELASTICITY: FLUID-STRUCTURE INTERACTION IN THE 21 CENTURY ABSTRACT Aeroelasticity is the field that examines, models and seeks to understand the interaction of the force from an aerodynamic flow and the deformation of an elastic structure. The forces produce deformation, but the structural deformation in turn changes the aerodynamic forces. This feedback be...

Prediction of Bubble Point Pressure & Asphaltene Onset Pressure During CO2 Injection Using ANN & ANFIS Models

Although CO2 injection is one of the most common methods in enhanced oil recovery, it could alter fluid properties of oil and cause some problems such as asphaltene precipitation. The maximum amount of asphaltene precipitation occurs near the fluid pressure and concentration saturation. According to the description of asphaltene deposition onset, the bubble point pressure has a very special imp...

Segregation Behaviour of Particles in Gas Solid Fluidized Beds at Elevated Pressure

A comprehensive mathematical model based on the discrete particle model and computational fluid dynamics was utilized to investigate mixing and segregation of particles in fluidized beds at high pressure. To quantify the extent of mixing in the bed, the Lacey mixing index was used. Simulations were carried out with different mass fractions of small particles at various pressures ranging from 1 ...
